Her p\u00e5 hjemmebane fikk Norges Banks rentekutt i midten av september mest oppmerksomhet. I forkant var markedet delt i forventningene, og det var ikke en selvf\u00f8lge at renten skulle kuttes. Norsk \u00f8konomi g\u00e5r rimelig greit, og inflasjonen er fremdeles godt over m\u00e5let p\u00e5 to prosent. Og til tross for at sentralbanken kuttet renten med et kvart prosentpoeng, til fire prosent, ble rentebanen hevet. Norges Bank tror n\u00e5 p\u00e5 ett rentekutt \u00e5rlig, de neste tre \u00e5rene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I USA er det fortsatt god risikoappetitt i aksjemarkedene.<\/strong> Amerikanske aksjer, m\u00e5lt ved S&amp;P 500, steg med 3,1 prosent i september, om lag dobbelt s\u00e5 mye som europeiske. Igjen var den amerikanske fremgangen i stor grad drevet av teknologiaksjer. Oppgangen ble st\u00f8ttet av b\u00e5de produktlanseringer fra Apple, og Nvidias kunngj\u00f8ring, om \u00e5 investere opptil 100 milliarder dollar i OpenAI. Investeringen skal bidra til utbyggingen av flere datasentre, som igjen skal utstyres med Nvidia-brikker. Sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5let alle stiller seg i disse dager er hvor langt p\u00e5 vei vi er fra \u00abboom\u00bb til \u00abboble\u00bb, og hvilken avkastning tech-gigantene vil f\u00e5 p\u00e5 de enorme investeringene som gj\u00f8res. Forel\u00f8pig blir det meste med en KI-vinkling godt mottatt p\u00e5 b\u00f8rsen. Her hjemme steg Aker-aksjen med 8 prosent, etter at selskapet kunngjorde at det kj\u00f8per seg opp i Nscale, og derigjennom vil tilby datasenter-kapasitet for Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>President Trump fortsetter sitt press p\u00e5 Fed, og publiserte nylig en tegning av at han gir Fed-leder Jerome Powell sparken.<\/strong> Trump mener renten er for h\u00f8y, og hemmer \u00f8konomisk vekst. I september ble ogs\u00e5 Fed-styremedlem Lisa Cook fors\u00f8kt sparket av Trump, anklaget for boligl\u00e5nsbedrageri. Hun fikk likevel sitte i komiteen p\u00e5 rentem\u00f8tet, og h\u00f8yesterett har n\u00e5 avgjort at hun forel\u00f8pig f\u00e5r fortsette i jobben. P\u00e5 rentem\u00f8tet i Fed ble renten kuttet med et kvart prosentpoeng, i lys av den svake utviklingen i arbeidsmarkedet de siste m\u00e5nedene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Den amerikanske sentralbanken var imidlertid ikke de eneste Trump hadde tid til i september.<\/strong> Etter \u201cLiberation Day\u201d i april og enigheten med EU i juli om en 15% tollsats p\u00e5 europeiske varer til USA, trodde mange at handelssp\u00f8rsm\u00e5lene n\u00e5 var parkert for en stund. Gleden ble derimot kortvarig. I slutten av september varslet Trump nye tollsatser p\u00e5 enkeltbransjer gjeldende allerede fra 1. oktober. S\u00e6rlig legemiddelindustrien ble hardt rammet, med tollsatser p\u00e5 100%. Dette bidro til \u00e5 sende helseaksjer ned, ledet an av Novo Nordisk. Sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5let n\u00e5 er om de nye tollutspillene faktisk materialiseres, eller om EUs handelsavtalen med USA vil st\u00e5 seg \u2013 og vi f\u00e5r nok et eksempel p\u00e5 den velkjente \u00abTACO-trade\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I september endte de langvarige budsjettforhandlingene om finansiering av offentlig sektor i USA med brudd.<\/strong> Spliden knytter seg i hovedsak til helsesubsidier. P\u00e5 m\u00e5nedens siste dag ble det klart at Demokratene og Republikanerne ikke klarte \u00e5 komme til enighet, og staten gikk dermed inn i sin f\u00f8rste nedstengning siden 2019. Konsekvensene er at hundretusener av offentlige ansatte kan bli permittert uten l\u00f8nn, som f\u00f8rer til at viktige n\u00f8kkeltall \u2013 blant annet arbeidsmarkedsstatistikk, er forventet \u00e5 bli forsinket. I verste fall kan Fed m\u00f8te til neste rentem\u00f8te uten oppdaterte tall p\u00e5 sysselsetting, noe som vil gj\u00f8re beslutningsgrunnlaget for \u00e5 sette rentebanen vesentlig svakere. Forel\u00f8pig har markedsreaksjonene v\u00e6rt moderate b\u00e5de i aksje- og rentemarkedet, men varigheten av nedstengningen blir avgj\u00f8rende for hvor store ringvirkningene kan bli. Forel\u00f8pig ser det ut til at markedene forventer at konflikten vil l\u00f8se seg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Med andre ord: 2025 er ikke et kjedelig \u00e5r og, som alltid, heller ikke et risikofritt.<\/strong> Likevel har det v\u00e6rt et \u00e5r som viser oss, atter en gang, at markedene ikke alltid reflekterer verden. Til tross for en rekke uromomenter har markedet i 2025 gitt god avkastning. \u00c5 v\u00e6re investert er per definisjon \u00e5 p\u00e5ta seg risiko, men \u00e5<em>ikke v\u00e6re investert,<\/em>gj\u00f8r at du lett kan g\u00e5 glipp av betydelig avkastning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c5 utnytte muligheter i markedet er og har alltid v\u00e6rt en del av Boreas investeringsstrategi.<\/strong> Vi har v\u00e6rt forsiktige gjennom 2025. V\u00e5re spesialfond har i stor grad v\u00e6rt ubel\u00e5nt, og v\u00e5re ordin\u00e6re fond har hatt litt h\u00f8yere kontantbeholdning enn \u00abnormalen\u00bb. Strategien v\u00e5r inneb\u00e6rer \u00e5 v\u00e6re med p\u00e5 mesteparten av bevegelsene, men v\u00e6re selektive i hva vi r\u00f8rer og ha ekstra t\u00f8rt krutt for markedssvingninger.
